CII MSME Conducts Roadshows on Technology and Financing MSMEs

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 22^nd December, 2017: Confederation of Indian Industry in association with CII SME Finance Facilitation Centre (FFC) and CII Technology Facilitation Centre (TFC) organized a Seminar on “CII MSME Roadshows on Technology and Financing MSMEs” on 20^th December 2017 at Siliguri. MSMEs are the major driving force of the Indian industry as they provide immense contribution to the various key economic indicators to the exports of the country and Industrial Output which provide employment to over millions of people etc. said Mr. Prasun Nayak, Manager, District Industries Centre Siliguri, Government of West Bengal, while addressing on the Inaugural session of CII MSME Roadshows on Technology and Financing MSMEs. The District Industries Centre (DIC) in every district of the state has been organizing Finance Clinic in their DIC & Sub DIC office every month for the interested MSME entrepreneurs to help them facilitate for approaching banks to get finance for their upcoming projects, DIC Manager said. The Indian MSME sector is the backbone of the national economic structure and has unremittingly acted as the bulwark for the Indian economy, providing it resilience to ward off global economic shocks and adversities. Today’s session on MSME Financing & Technology as part of the Centre’s initiative, endeavored to familiarize and gear up the MSMEs with all the best possible solutions related to finance and other related services that can help them in addressing their most critical business needs, said the Chairman, CII North Bengal, Mr. Rajiv Lochan, while addressing on the session of the Seminar on CII MSME Roadshows on Technology and Financing MSMEs. Some recommendation was also made during the sessions like CII to organize similar FFC (Finance Facilitation Centre) & TFC (Technology Facilitation Centre) programme on the month of January, 2018 for the entrepreneurs with an aim for providing an interactive platform for the MSMEs, where they can raise their concerns in regards to their requirements and other issues which can be served better by the finance and technology partner. This is the first CII MSME Finance & Technology FacilitationRoadshowoad show in North Bengal Region for bringing together all the MSME entrepreneurs in one platform with brainstorming sessions with the panelists. The Inaugural session was followed by two Technical sessions on Finance and Technology with the following talented panelists like Mr. Avinash Agrawal, Chief Manager, Union Bank of India, Mr. Nalin Tayal, Director, Gats India Ltd, Ms. Jhumur Roychowdhury, Senior Manager, Care Ratings Ltd, Mr. Amandeep Singh, Senior VP- Strategic Alliances, AVIVA Life Insurance Company India Ltd, Ms Teena Makhija, Area Head, HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company Ltd, Ms. Kanishka Bose, Legal Counsel, Lexplosion Solutions Pvt. Ltd, Mr. Debabrata Paul, Regional Sales Manager, Tally Solutions and Mr. Anindya Moitra, Executive – Sales & Marketing, Secure Meters Ltd.
